National Kitchen and Bath Month – Cabinetry Basics – Wood Specie

What’s Your Wood Specie Style?

Hardwoods provide a tremendous selection of grain patterns, color variations, and textures, ranging from the bold statements of American red oak, hickory and character maple to the more subdued patterns of cherry and maple. Because no two trees are exactly alike, cabinets crafted from hardwood will have subtle variations in color and grain. These variations serve to enhance the beauty of each piece of Wellborn cabinetry crafted with these hardwoods. Which is why Wellborn Cabinet Inc., is one of the few remaining manufacturers who continues to use solid wood in our Premier Series raised panel doors and drawer fronts.

Cabinetry Door Styles can be constructed out of many different substrates:

Wood, MDF (medium density fiberboard), metal, plastic or a combination of any of those to create your signature cabinetry look.
