"Beyond Emerald: Interior Colors" from Arcadian Home!

Hello, everyone! It’s Mari from Arcadian Home blog, a wonderful online place to find lots of decor inspirations. I’m so happy to be here visiting Wellborn’s blog, That’s My Style, to share a guest post about color. In addition to lots of color, in the images we’ve chosen, you’ll also see some cool contemporary lamps, floor coverings and much more.

Recently, the folks here at Wellborn did a post they called “Our Emerald ‘Color of the Year’ Tribute. That inspired us to go a bit further with “Beyond Emerald: Interior Colors” to share some of the lovely hues that are inspiring us right now. Please enjoy!

What a beautiful bedroom this is—dressed in pure white and verdant green. It’s so fresh and exciting with lots of crisp detailing on the bed.

Here, chartreuse is the color star in a white living space filled with light. I love the great mix of seating in this room and the intriguing wall of art

Right now, we’re seeing more and more handsome interior designs with dark walls like this living room enveloped in deep green.

In 2011, Honeysuckle Pink was named Pantone‘s Color of the Year and remains a favorite for many of us who love pinks in general and this one in particular. The space above uses Honeysuckle to great effect. The slipper chairs are chic pink perfection while the same hue is seen again in the entry hall beyond—on wallpaper and the pretty little foyer light.

Wide splashes of pink are not for everyone. Here a pale room inspired by Benjamin Moore‘s Lemon Sorbet gets little pops of Honeysuckle. It’s a lovely look, don’t you think?

That soft yellow hue is pulled into a traditional bedroom as an accent to Color Marketing Group‘s 2013 Color of the Year called RE-BLUED—a great pairing.

I’m fascinated by watery blues, especially dark moody tones like the one chosen for the upholstery on this modern tufted headboard—a compelling and sophisticated color

No matter what the color trends are at the moment, white is always in favor. Here, a stunning canopy bed with deeply tufted tall headboard is lovely in white with touches of pale gray. Wouldn’t this space be perfect for a weekend breakfast in bed? Perhaps served on contemporary decorative trays?
